Saturday, April 27 @10AM 20th Annual Say My Name Ceremony (happening at the same time, Scenic River Land Trust Walk in the Woods).

Honoring the 1700+ patients buried in unmarked graves at a State-owned cemetery at Crownsville. The largest crowd to date approx. 150 ppl. The carved sculpture was revealed to honor the 500+ Black bodies that were sent to the University of Maryland Medical College as cadavers for scientific experimentation. Birds painted by 5 area high schools were sponsored by the community and will be installed in a public art piece created by local, self-taught wood carver artist Jimmy Howard.
